Maker Lab (Logo)

Maker Lab at Douglas County Library is

  • a collaborative, participatory and inclusive learning environment
  • devoted to fostering a supportive community
  • where Library patrons can experiment, play and think outside the box

Participation in Maker Lab requires an active Library card in good standing and a completed Maker User Agreement. Makers under age 18 who do not possess an active library card may use Maker Lab with permission of a parent/guardian with an active library card.

Machines in the Maker Lab require registration, all other tools are available on a first-come, first-served basis. One appointment per equipment station per day.

Technology and equipment in Maker Lab are made possible in part by Douglas County Library, Viking Library System, Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund, and the Friends of the Douglas County Library

These guides will point you to resources within and beyond the Library to encourage and enhance hands-on learning through exploration and experimentation.
